Without the government regulation and third party insurance that is prevalent in human medicine, imaging requirements and standards are virtually absent in veterinary medicine. What is not absent, however, is the need to practice responsible imaging. The AAVR has assembled teams of industry experts to offer the veterinary profession practical practice guidelines that, if followed, will provide any veterinary practice with the tools they need to practice "responsible imaging."
